Artist tackles grief with new portraits or young Londoners
After experiencing his own personal tragedy, when his best friend died from cancer, young street artist Ant Carver was struggling to speak openly about his loss.
He decided to turn that pain into a new series of works coming to Peckham.
Called All Alone in a Crowded Room – the exhibition features 22 new oil painting portraits of young Londoners from his community in East London exploring the unspoken impact of loneliness and bereavement.
James spoke to Ant about the project.
