‘Glory Ride:’ WW2 musical pedals its way to Charing Cross Theatre

A musical that transports the audience to the golden hills of Tuscany during the darkest days of the Second World War is returning to London audiences.

‘Glory Ride’ tells the story of the secret life of Gino Bartali, a beloved Italian athlete and Tour de France winner.

He risked his life by saving hundreds of people from fascism, by cycling them across borders to safety.

The musical was co-created by Victoria Buchholz and her father Todd – who came to produce musicals from an unusual route, having served as a senior advisor in the White House.
