Takashi Murakami at the Gagosian’s Grosvenor Hill gallery

London is getting a dose of Japanese artist Takashi Murakami’s magic, with his kawaii characters taking over Gagosian’s Grosvenor Hill gallery.

This exhibition features new acrylic-on-canvas works modelled on Japanese historical masterpieces, with Murakami’s signature cartoon mascots making appearances throughout.

Our art critic James Nicholls went down to the gallery to meet him for his exhibition that is on at the Gagosian until the 8th March 2025.
