Could London’s independent pubs be wiped out by 2035?
A pub in Greenwich has rebranded itself to highlight the threat to independent pubs.
‘The Pelton Arms’ changed its name to the ‘Extinction Arms’ after new research found that independent pubs could be wiped out by as soon as 2035 as well as another 25 high street staples by 2040.
We spoke to some of those in Greenwich who are trying to call attention to what they are calling the plight of London pubs.
