Marie Curie say the budget lacks funding for palliative care
One of the country’s largest charities that supports end of life care for terminally ill people has issued a stark response to the governments budget.
Marie Curie based in the capital say that Rachel Reeves’s rises in employer National Insurance contributions are going to put considerable additional cost pressures on not-for-profit organisations like themselves.
They also said they are shocked by the lack of measures in the budget to fix palliative care despite the health secretary
Wes Streeting acknowledging this particular crisis.
Well James spoke with Toby from Marie Curie about their concerns.
