New national vape recycling scheme launches

A new national ‘vape recycling scheme’, that aims to recycle more than 5 tonnes of used products, has been launched this week by Veolia and Totally Wicked.

The impact & concern surrounding the disposing of single-use vape pens is growing, with statistics showing two vapes are thrown away every second in the UK.

London also appears to be the vape capital of the UK, with some Vape providers showing that 83% of their products sold in the UK are sold here in the capital.

Companies are now taking steps for a more sustainable future for the industry, and Helena spoke to Marcus Saxton from Totally Wicked, the retailer behind the new recycling scheme
