Rugby legend James Haskell on the importance of grassroots sport

The cost of living crisis is having widespread impacts, and one of those is on local community and grassroots sports.

With rising subscriptions and many citing lack of opportunity, the Proud to Pitch In campaign has been created for community sports to apply for grants to support their clubs.

One of the campaign supporters is England International and three times Six Nations Winner James Haskell, who spoke to Helena about why grassroots sports clubs are so important for health and community – and how the campaign is raising awareness ahead of the Six Nations.
